Meet Bombtrack Treadly Racing – Bike Magazine Australia

What started as a group of cyclocross-curious riders bandied together under a hashtag in Adelaide has grown. Grown so much, you’d be surprised to know they started at such humble t-shirt and shorts beginnings. But Bombtrack Treadly Racing are now a crew of 7 riders, 4 women and 3 men. And they are seven riders who are keen to travel the country, couch surf, do big miles in the car, and race their bikes are muddy (or dusty and rutted) fields in the name of cyclocross stardom.

What is cyclocross anyway?

In 2017 Bombtrack Treadly racing have reached beyond the confines of their home state of South Australia and neighbouring Victoria, spreading to Queensland for the recent national rounds at Samford, and other events around the country.

Squad goals.

Bombtrack Treadly Racing race on (you guessed it) Bombtrack Hook CX bikes that have been custom finished with support from their sponsors, such as PraxisWorks crank sets and bottom brackets and Schwalbe tyres. The key support for any bike team though is their local shop – and that’s where Treadly Bikeshop in Adelaide come in. Their skinsuits come from MAAP and hydration is by Nuun.

Do you have the CX factor?

But – who actually makes up the team?
