When Leah Flickinger, the editor of our American sister title Bicycling, tested the Ruby last summer, she was impressed by its comfort. That’s likely thanks to the bike’s FutureShock technology, which adds a small amount of suspension, and the endurance geometry, which has a slightly taller stack and shorter reach. For a super-smooth ride, the Trek Silque is a superb option. That’s partially thanks to Trek’s Front and Adjustable Rear IsoSpeed decouplers, which are designed to smooth rough roads by providing a few millimeters of travel. The downtube curves for a shorter seatpost and a streamlined silhouette that’s emphasized by the matte black finish. This model features a Shimano Dura-Ace groupset with clean-looking internally routed cables.
